Gym Rules
1. TURN UP!!!
Show up for class on time. Be respectful to your fellow classmates and coaches by not coming in late and interrupting class. Classes are only 1 hour long and are designed to take an hour to complete, so be here on time (or a little early) to keep the classes moving.
2. NO EGOs or NEGATIVITY!
Leave your ego and any negativity at the door! Bring in a positive, optimistic attitude and do YOUR best! CrossFit is humbling for EVERYONE and we are here to push each other, cheer each other on, and HAVE FUN!
3. DO NOT SHAVE REPS OR CHEAT MOVEMENTS!
Be HONEST with yourself and others – it will only make you better! When you need to scale movements or reps that is OK! Just make sure you discuss your scales with a coach so they can ensure you are getting the best workout for your fitness level.
4. WELCOME EVERYONE TO 952!
Introduce yourself to new members and drop ins. We want everyone to feel at home and supported at 952. CrossFit is community driven – we train as individuals but we workout as a community. We start and finish every workout as a team, so please DO NOT put your equipment away until everyone is finished with the workout. Cheer them home!
5. RESPECT YOUR COACHES!
Let the coaches coach. Our coaches have the experience and knowledge required to inform, instruct, and coach CORRECT technique and movements. While support is great – please leave the technical advice for the coaches.
Listen while the coach is going over the workout and its components. This will help ensure you are doing the correct movements and using good form and technique.
If you don’t know – ASK!! There is no such thing as a dumb question! The coaches are here for YOU!!
6. KNOW YOUR BODY!
Tell the coach if you have an injury or limitation before the class starts. This will allow the coach to scale or modify the workout for you and your limitation.
You know your body better than anyone. If something doesn’t feel right, stop the movement and discuss it with a coach. Safety always comes first!
7. SHOW UP!!!
CrossFit is challenging, but the more consistent you are the easier it becomes! Your endurance, strength, and mobility will only continue to improve. You will become the best and healthiest version of YOU!!!!
